Thank you to everyone that attended our Go LIVE for Equity Fireside Chat with Dr. Robin DiAngelo and YWCA President and CEO, Margaret Mitchell. Over 900 guests tuned in for an honest conversation on white fragility, allyship, and the default racist structure of American society.
A consultant and trainer on issues of racial and social justice for over 20 years, Dr. Robin DiAngelo is the author of New York Times Best Seller, “White Fragility: Why it’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism.” In 2011, she coined the term “White Fragility” and her work continues to influence the national dialogue on race.
The fight continues and we need your help!
While conversations like this are an important component in the fight to eliminate racism, there’s so much more to be done. Achieving a more equitable society calls for intentional programming and training, legislative action, and organizational and community change. YWCA Greater Cleveland has and will continue to put in the work. We hope that you will join us.
Donate and partner with us as we work to bring more programs such as Go LIVE for Equity and the 21 Day Racial Equity and Social Jusrice Challenge to wider audiences, making a greater impact in Cleveland and beyond.
