You Are My Sister – A Conversation about Police Violence with Black Women

Categories: Archive

We are excited to host a community conversation about the impact of police violence on the mental health of the Black community. As part of a larger conversation series, information gathered from these events about attendees’ lived experiences will be used to help build trauma-informed police policy in Cleveland when interacting with marginalized communities.

This conversation is specifically for Black women in Cleveland who have been affected by police violence and will feature YWCA’s own Director of Clinical Services, Billie Gilliam. Future conversations in this series with Black men and Black youth will be separate events, with registration available soon. To be a part of this crucial conversation, RSVP now to join us on Thursday, March 23 at 6:00 PM at Towards Employment, Inc., 3301 St Clair Ave NE, Cleveland, OH 44114
