Valda Clark Christian has always admired men and women like her grandparents, who have persevered in spite of poverty and segregation. When the world offered them limited opportunities, they aspired to more and taught their family how to soar.  And Valda has done just that.

As the Chief Compliance Officer for University Hospitals, Valda leads the Compliance and Ethics function in monitoring, counseling and providing training and tools to UH caregivers.  Valda’s team ensures that the hospital follows through on their commitment to comply with their values, policies, procedures, and applicable law.

In addition to informally mentoring her current and former colleagues, Valda volunteers as a mentor with College Now, Cleveland Public Schools, and the Links Inc.
