Program Officer, Housing
Sisters of Charity Foundation
Angela D’Orazio’s professional goal is see our community end homelessness for all populations and to be a part of that change. At the sisters of Charity Foundation she supports the foundation’s efforts achieve systems change and implement solution-oriented approaches to homelessness.
“I have grown within the organization over the past 12 years, and I am truly grateful for that opportunity. I am still growing. As much as I seek mentorship for myself, I also try to provide this for others, especially those who are growing in their careers and currently hold positions within the organization that I previously held.”
Angela is also committed to YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women and believes that structural racism is key in perpetuating homelessness.
“Structural racism pervades and undermines every public system and institution in our country. It is essential that we eliminate racism as a first step to achieving social growth in other areas.”
