Christina Lundquist
Vice President of Operations for Rainbow Babies and Children’s and MacDonald Women’s Hospital
University Hospitals
Christina is described by the hospital’s president and YWCA 2019 Woman of Achievement, Patricia DePompei, as someone who “truly embodies the definition of servant leadership exemplified in innumerable ways including her commitment to creating a vibrant pipeline of talented healthcare professionals through strong mentoring and a fulfilling curriculum, selfless giving of precious personal time to community organizations, and stellar leadership of challenging projects that contribute to healthier lives for children, women and families in our community.” Christina’s father inspired her to take time to listen, which she says “has helped me make more informed, thoughtful decisions and be a better leader.” The YWCA’s mission resonates in Christina’s core and is one reason she is happy to be part of University Hospital’s new urban healthcare hub for women and children. “From one of my first experiences working in health care at a Planned Parenthood clinic in the conservative South, I have been inspired to work towards the goal of eliminating disparities in care and providing equitable care for all individuals.” Outside of work, she is hoping to mark an African safari of her bucket list in 2020.
