Attorney General Mike DeWine Visits YWCA CLE to Talk Early Childhood Education

Categories: Archive

YWCA was happy to host Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today, who are recognizing the importance of helping Ohio’s most vulnerable children with reliable services. DeWine stressed the importance of trauma informed care, like the kind provided at YWCA Greater Cleveland’s Early Learning Center saying, “Kids have one chance to grow up, this is not a dress rehearsal.”

During the standing room only event, DeWine announced his plan to create more opportunity for every Ohio child, starting with the youngest of them. That is why he is proposing to significantly increase funding for programs that support children.

“We will fight for an Ohio that works for each and every one of our children.” said DeWine.
