YWCA Greater Cleveland Selected to Operate Norma Herr Women’s Center

Margaret Mitchell, the president and CEO of the YWCA Greater Cleveland, said the management of the shelter is an “important step forward” for the organization. For the last seven years the YWCA has been working to find and maintain housing for youth aging out of foster care.

“We want our staff to take a fresh approach to creating a culture around permanent housing and working with the women there to empower them to transition from homelessness to a home where they can be safe and flourish,” Mitchell said. “With the expanded resources from the county, we will be able to do that.”
