LEAD TEACHER- Early Learning Center

The Early Learning Center’s Lead Teacher will help provide high-quality early childhood education for children ages three to five years while empowering mothers and fathers to pursue their career and educational goals. 

Some of the main duties of the Lead Teacher include:

  • Actively provide quality care in accordance with ODJFS rules and regulations and Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP).
  • Create and implement lesson plans that align the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards with the curriculum and include individualization for each child.
  • Interact with parents to keep them informed of their child’s growth and development, as well as answer questions and address concerns.
  • Document child observations and assessments, attendance and meal count sheets, as well as parent and other meeting notes.

Some requirements include: A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and well as current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in an approved related field. And, 2 years full-time teaching experience with young children, ages 3 to 5 years old.

SHELTER ADVOCATE- Norma Herr Women’s Center

We are currently searching for 2nd and 3rd shift Shelter Advocates at Norma Herr Women’s Center.

Some of the main duties of the Shelter Advocate include:

  • Ensure the day to day safety of shelter guests
  • Coordinate meal services
  • Facilitate life skill programming and screening and intake for shelter guests
  • Provide crisis and de-escalation interventions utilizing trauma informed approaches

Some qualifications include: A High School Diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver license, compassion, and an understanding of behavioral health, substance use disorders, and trauma informed service delivery models.
